Financial adviser reviewing client investment decisions during a behavioural finance workshop in Singapore

What is technical analysis — and why do financial professionals need it now?

Markets move on data, emotion, and momentum — often in that order. Fundamental analysis tells you what something is worth; technical analysis tells you when to act on that view. For financial professionals managing portfolios, advising HNI clients, or trading across asset classes, the ability to read price action and identify turning points is the difference between a well-timed decision and an expensive one.

This full-day workshop delivers 12 structured investing and trading strategies, each grounded in real market behavior and immediately applicable to your work. Through case studies, interactive exercises, and immersive simulations, you’ll leave with a repeatable framework for making evidence-based decisions in any market condition.

Who should attend this workshop?

Chief Investment Officers and Portfolio Managers who want to incorporate systematic market timing into investment processes

Private Bankers and Wealth Managers advising clients across equities, fixed income, and alternative asset classes

Relationship Managers who need to communicate market moves confidently and build stronger client conviction

Traders, Analysts, and Risk Managers who want a disciplined, rules-based framework for entry, exit, and position sizing

Hedge Fund Managers and Cross-Asset Professionals seeking to sharpen tactical overlay and volatility management strategies

Client Advisors who want to strengthen their market insight and differentiate their advisory approach

What will I walk away with?

This workshop is built around outcomes, not exposure. By the end of the day, you’ll be able to apply each of the 12 strategies to real market scenarios — not just describe them.

Identify high-probability entry and exit points using technical indicators — so you can time decisions with greater precision and boost portfolio performance.

Use market timing tools to systematically optimize risk and enhance returns in volatile conditions, replacing gut feel with a repeatable process.

Apply 12 technical analysis frameworks to create effective investment and trading strategies across asset classes and market environments.

Read volatility signals and understand what changing market structure means for your positioning and client conversations.

Build and defend investment cases backed by technical evidence — making you a more credible advisor and a more confident decision-maker.

Consolidate your learning through real-world trading simulations with expert feedback, leaving with strategies you can use the following week.

What does the program cover?

The day is structured across four progressive phases — from understanding market behavior through to executing and defending real trading decisions. Every phase combines instruction with immediate practical application.

Phase 1: What Does Volatility Mean to You? — Setting the Foundation

Opens with a provocative question that grounds the entire day: how do you personally define and respond to volatility? Participants calibrate their existing mental models, identify common cognitive biases in volatile markets, and establish the analytical mindset the rest of the day builds on. Includes interactive questioning and a diagnostic exercise.

Covers the theoretical underpinning of market timing: why it works, where it fails, and how to structure a systematic approach. Introduces the Analysis Framework — the core architecture the rest of the day is built around. Case study discussions using real market scenarios from Asia-Pacific and global markets.

The core of the workshop. Each technique is introduced, demonstrated with live market examples, and immediately applied through role-play scenarios and group activities, working in peer groups against real chart data.

The final phase consolidates the day’s learning through a structured capstone scenario: participants build and present a technical case for a real-world trading situation. Peer review, expert feedback, and a personalized learning summary ensure insights translate into practice.

Why attend this workshop?

Foundational clarity

Technical analysis has a reputation for complexity. This workshop strips it back to what actually matters — 12 strategies that work in real markets, explained through examples you recognize from your own professional context.

Practical application

Every strategy is applied the same day it’s taught. Case studies, role-plays, and live chart exercises mean you’re building muscle memory, not just familiarity. You’ll leave with tools you can use in your next client meeting or trading session.

Future readiness

Markets are evolving — algorithmic flows, cross-asset correlations, and macro volatility regimes are reshaping how technical signals behave. This program is built around how modern markets actually work, not textbook theory from another decade.

Peer learning in the room

The workshop brings together CIOs, portfolio managers, traders, bankers, and advisors. The peer discussion is as valuable as the formal content — you’ll leave with new perspectives on how people at different points in the investment chain use the same signals.
